The Medfield community is invited to attend our September program on “Hydrangeas for the Northeast”. Our featured speaker is Cheryl Monroe.
Come learn how to plant, grow, and prune hydrangeas, as well as find the answers to the age old question “Why won’t my hydrangeas bloom?”
Cheryl will cover zone/climate and the best bloomers, native selections, hydrangeas for sun, shade and in-between, and best of all some superb choices for containers and small garden
spaces.
Cheryl is a licensed adult educator who follows the science, reading constantly and taking classes to stay current with the latest in plant research, new plant introductions and design trends. Her motto is “Pretty it up” and she strives to have beautiful pest free gardens on her one-acre plot in central MA..
Admission at the door for non-members will be a $5 donation. Members are free.

The Medfield community is invited o attend our October program on “Ikebana” . Our featured speaker is Russell Bowers, who holds both Instructor and Masters Certifications from the prestigious Ohara School of Ikebana in Japan.
During this lecture Russell will present a captivating demonstration of the Ohara style of Ikebana. He will create exquisite arrangements, offering insights into their historical and cultural contexts. Russell will share his deep understanding of the Japanese principles that guide the selection of plants, containers and forms, illuminating the art’s harmonious blend of nature and design.
Admission at the door for non-members will be a $5 donation. Members are free.
